Nature of assignment
The firm of T. J. Aondo & Co. is one of the external solicitors to the Central Bank of Nigeria. The firm has handled a couple of legal matters on behalf of the CBN. The matters range from Labour related matters, contract to mention but a few.
The firm recently was briefed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory commission to conduct a comprehensive due diligence search on some companies in Nigeria. This instruction was carried out excellently by the firm.
The firm’s managing partner Terkaa J. Aondo has participated actively in major election petitions in the country between 2007 and 2015 and also represented the Central Bank of Nigeria in high profile from its inception at the high court to the Supreme Court. among them is the celebrated case of ATIKU ABUBAKAR V. Principal Counsel
He is the Head of Practice and Principal Partner of the firm. His mastery of the law reflects decades of relentless advocacy and a distinguished record of landmark achievements.
He was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2024.
Mr. Aondo earned his Law Degree from Benue State University and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, where he was trained to become a Barrister at Law. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007 and began his legal career with Rickey Tarfa & Co. one of the top much Law Firm in Nigeria before establishing his own firm in 2011.
His leadership is the cornerstone of the firm’s commitment to intellectual rigor, ethical practice, and strategic foresight. Under his guidance, the team approaches every matter with meticulous analysis and a relentless pursuit of clients’ objectives.
He is a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator, he is a member of the Institute of Chattered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and a member of the Unity Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, the African Bar Association, and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). He enjoys reading and playing lawn tennis.
